JTA and Uber launch new partnership offering free rides to Jacksonville COVID vaccination sites

Jacksonville FL — On Friday, JTA announced a new program to provide access to COVID vaccination sites for residents in neighborhoods with limited transportation access in Jacksonville. JTA says Uber is subsidizing 100% of the costs on about 4,000 rides for trips under $25. Vouchers are available for trips to any vaccination site in the following area codes:

  • 32202
  • 32204
  • 32205
  • 32206
  • 32208
  • 32209
  • 32218
  • 32219
  • 32220
  • 32254

JTA CEO Nathaniel P. Ford Sr. Says this program is part of the Ride to Health initiative.

“The Ride to Health program was created to improve access to critical pandemic resources in our community, this program builds on that mission by ensuring underserved areas disproportionately impacted by the pandemic are not left behind as our city moves forward in getting vaccinated.” Ford says.

You can schedule a ride any day of the week between 7 AM and 6 PM and an Uber application is required to claim the voucher. You can download the voucher from the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or by clicking here.
