We've learned from the St. Augustine Beach Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration that 16 kilos of cocaine washed ashore St. Augustine Beach.

A spokeswoman for the DEA says they are working with other local authorities as they investigate the origins of the cocaine. Mia Ro tells WOKV News 1 kilo is worth anywhere from 22-36K. Ro says they are actively looking into where it came from and how it washed ashore.

We've learned Beach Patrol found 4 kilos and the DEA recovered 12 kilos, totaling 16.

Investigators are not sure whether the discovery of the cocaine is related to the $7.5M worth of cocaine that washed ashore in the same area last May.
