Jacksonville — Krispy Kreme celebrates National Dog Day on Friday, August 26, with doughnuts baked especially for dogs.

The doughnut ensemble will even be showcased in a dog-themed version of the chain’s six-count iconic box. These doggie doughnut-shaped biscuits are handmade by Huds and Toke, an Australia-based company that specializes in making artisan-baked pet treats. Touting all natural ingredients, the biscuit flavors are inspired by Krispy Kreme doughnut flavors, including carob, a pup-friendly substitute for chocolate. And like the doughnuts made for humans, they’re fried!

Intended as a treat - not as a substitute for a meal - the doggie doughnuts are designed for dogs of all sizes and ages.

Since all dogs deserve to be celebrated for more than just one day, Krispy Kreme Doggie Doughnuts will be available between August 26 - August 28 while supplies last.

“Our dogs have given us so much love and comfort to help us through these last couple of years. They deserve this special treat,” Dave Skena, global chief brand officer for Krispy Kreme, said in a press release. “On National Dog Day this Friday, give your furry friend something pawsome.”

Krispy Kreme will also be releasing a limited-edition red bandana covered in a pattern of dogs, bones and doughnuts for those stylish pets that “love a good accessory.”

The Krispy Kreme one size fits all dog bandanas will be available while supplies last at participating locations.
