A man has been charged with second degree murder for strangling a woman to death in a St. Johns County motel.
We first told you Wednesday afternoon that a man was considered a person of interest in the homicide, which happened Tuesday night at the Star Motel on SR 16. St. Johns County deputies have now identified the man as 38-year-old Christopher William McCook. He's being held on no bond for second degree murder with a deadly weapon.
The victim, 29-year-old Keneshia Cymone Gadson, was strangled to death in the motel. She was found around 11PM Tuesday. McCook was found this morning at a nearby Denny’s.
