A man arrested for a SWAT standoff on Wednesday is a person of interest in a triple murder in Northwest Jacksonville over the weekend.
After speaking with witnesses at the scene of the Cleveland Arms Apartments mass shooting, in which two women and an 11-month-old child were murdered, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office obtained an arrest warrant for David Anderson.
Anderson barricaded himself inside a house on 29th Street Wednesday morning, and was later arrested without incident for the possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
While Jacksonville Sheriff Mike Williams said an arrest has not been made for the mass shooting near the Cleveland Arms Apartments, Anderson is considered a person of interest in the case.
Anderson is the boyfriend of 18-year-old Xacia Burnem, who along with Kadejah Williams and her 11-month-old son Tedashii, was murdered when a gunman fired into their car.
Williams is once again pleading to anyone with information to come forward.
“We still have a murder investigation to conduct,” Williams said. “We are more than thankful for the cooperation and information we have received from the community.
If you have any information, please call the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office immediately.
