This isn't your typical shoplifting case.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is looking for an African American man who walked into a store last month and walked out with three chainsaws he didn't pay for.

It happened around 3 p.m. on August 27th at the Home Depot on Lem Turner Road near the West Beltway on the Northside.

Witnesses told police that the man took the Echo chainsaws, placed them in a shopping cart and walked out through the front doors past the registers.

From there, JSO believes he got into the passenger side of a blue Honda sport utility vehicle and left.

A photo of the suspect is posted to the left of this article.

JSO hasn't given any other description of the suspect at this time but store workers believe he's shoplifted from the store before.

The chainsaws combined are valued at around $1,000, according to the incident report.

Anyone with information is asked to call JSO at 904-630-0500 or email JSOCrimeTips@jaxsheriff.org.

Those who wish to remain anonymous and possibly qualify for a cash reward can call Crime Stoppers at 866-845-TIPS (8477).
