The man who plowed his Jeep through a home in St. Augustine Beach on October 1 died over the weekend.

Grant Ness, 34, was in critical condition at Shands Jacksonville since the crash, according to our news partner Channel 4.

Two people were injured inside the home at 2401 Hydrangea Street around 2 a.m. when Ness' Jeep crashed into the side of the home.

Brian Hubble, 36, and Jennifer Lyles, 33, were both in serious but non-life-threatening condition when their bedroom was hit while they were sleeping.

Police say Ness was not wearing a seat belt, and alcohol and speed were considered factors in the crash.
