Jacksonville, FL — Our remarkably warm January is not letting up yet. Action News Jax Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh is tracking record-challenging temps into the 80's again today.
“Today’s record is from 2013. Tomorrow’s record is from 1989 and that’s 83 degrees. We may still get there, it’ll be very close. A lot will have to do with whether or not we can get rid of that fog early enough in the morning”, Buresh said.
Thursday will still be well above average but with more clouds and scattered showers, afternoon temps should stay in the upper 70’s. Friday will be cooler with winds off the Atlantic before another change to start the weekend.
If you’re hoping for a return to winter-time temperatures, it turns chilly early next week with the possibility of frost inland for a few mornings next week.
