Jacksonville, FL — Tuesday set a new record as afternoon highs reached 85 degrees at Jacksonville International Airport. By this afternoon temperatures could be as much as 30 degrees cooler.
A cold front moving through will bring cloudy, damp conditions and falling temperatures. Action News Jax Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh says onshore breezy winds will develop later this afternoon behind the front.
Thursday will be mostly cloudy with a few showers closer to the coast as high temperatures will only be in the mid-60’s. More scattered showers return on Friday as highs climb back to the lower 70’s. A few morning showers are likely on Saturday before we dry out through the afternoon. Sunday will be dry with highs in the lower 70’s.

High surf advisory goes into effect tonight. Onshore winds will help build our surf to 5-8 feet tonight and touch higher tomorrow. Elevated water levels are likely as well with the onshore winds and with the full moon cycle (tomorrow). #FirstAlertWX @actionnewsjax pic.twitter.com/uCab4oNrRp
