Jacksonville, FL — Four people are dead, following a head-on collision in southern St. Johns County.
The call for help came in at around 8 a.m. Wednesday. The crash happened on SR 206 near CR 305 in Elkton.

FHP says a red SUV was heading west and a silver SUV was heading east. The red SUV tried to pass a semi truck, leading to the collision with the silver vehicle, according to investigators.
The three people in the silver SUV died. FHP says they were from out of town, but lived in Florida. One person in the red SUV also died as a result of the crash.
