It’s life in prison for the man convicted of the murder of a Navy Commander.
Commander Alphonso Doss was found strangled to death inside his hotel room at the Astoria Hotel in Orange Park in 2014. 31-year-old Anthony Washington, Ronnie Wilson II, and Doss' estranged wife Yolinda Doss are all accused of the murder, but Washington is the only one to have faced trial so far.
Washington was found guilty of first degree felony murder and burglary with assault or battery in September. He's now been sentenced to mandatory life in prison.
Prosecutors say Washington and Yolinda Doss were romantically involved, and the trio killed Doss for his life insurance.
