New COVID-19 testing sites open Monday in St. Johns County

St Johns County — St. Johns County has partnered with Nomi Health to offer free, daily COVID-19 testing between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. beginning on Monday at the Wind Mitigation Building located at 3111 Agricultural Center Dr.

The site will provide PCR and rapid (antigen) COVID-19 testing for those a year old and older. Recipients do not have to be symptomatic to be tested and they may only choose one test.

Rapid test results will be available the same day. PCR results will be available in 24 to 48 hours. Results will be delivered via text or email. No appointment is necessary. Insurance is not required but will be accepted. A picture ID is required.

Kelly Wilson, St. Johns County’s deputy director of emergency management, explained that the county joined forces with Nomi Health to launch the test sites because of the recent up-tick in Covid cases. She also said that because St. Johns County stands at 67 percent vaccinated, there are no plans to add additional vaccination sites “just yet.”

Wilson also suggested pre-registering on the county’s websites - http://www.co.st-johns.fl.us/ and https://www.sjcemergencymanagement.com/lms.html - to expedite the testing process. However, pre-registration is not required.
