The Florida Department of Transportation is rescheduling the cosntruction for the new State Rd 9B project which is supposed to take place June 4 and June 5. Due to weather concerns the construction will start the weekend of June 10.
The new State Road 9B will be opening in stages this month. The first stage will include the southbound lanes and ramps opening. The following week, the northbound lanes and ramps will be expected to open.
During this process, all southbound lanes of the East Beltway between Baymeadows Road and Philips Highway from midnight to 5:00 AM. This will be to install overhead signs. Alternates for this will be Baymeadows Rd, Southside Blvd, and Philips Hwy.
The State Road 9B will include entrance and exit lanes on Philips Hwy and I-95 at the interchange.
