Jacksonville Fire and Rescue crews are on the scene of a house fire that destroyed a home on the Northside early this morning.
JFRD responded to a home on Bellshore Circle just before 3:45 a.m.
The homeowner was inside the home and was able to escape unharmed. Also recured from the burning home were three dogs; firefighters are still looking for a missing cat at this time.
The Red Cross is on scene to assist the homeowner.
JFRD blames a space hearter in a Florida room for starting the fire.
