Jacksonville, FL — One of the people accused of a sexual battery in Jacksonville Beach has now been caught.
Jax Beach Police say they were able to collect DNA samples from the victim of the assault, and those were sent to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s Crime Lab for analysis. Police say the DNA came back positive for Shawn Cobb, who has now been taken in to custody. Jail records show he is facing multiple counts of sexual battery, and one charge of kidnapping with a firearm.
The assault happened July 1st near the boardwalk. Police continue to search for a Hispanic female suspect also connected to this case. She may go by the first name Corinthia.
