An 11 year-old boy in Orange Park did not survive an accidental shooting by his older brother.
Seth Lasater was struck by a bullet from a gun in a family bedroom last Sunday. He suffered a major head wound and could not be saved by doctors.
"There's hurt there, to lose a life so early with such potential," said Anthony Bradley, assistant principal at Grove Park Elementary School, where Seth was a sixth-grader.
"Seth was a great kid, really kind of a model kid that you would want in your classrooms," Bradley said. "Good academically, good citizen, respectful of his peers", Bradley told our news partner Channel 4.
Funeral arrangements are still being developed.
