Jacksonville — An armed security guard is dead after being shot overnight at the High Score Arcade on Edgewood Avenue North at Commonwealth. Two suspects have been identified; a man and a woman. JSO said they robbed the arcade overnight and shot the guard once, before taking off with cash. The only description police released was that they were both black. We’ve learned the arcade has been robbed before, and has surveillance cameras.

JSO is also investigating a deadly shooting on West 5th Street in Northwest Jacksonville. Police had an area taped off in the 1500 block of West 5th, and several evidence markers were apparent near a red car. The scene was near Edward Waters College, although it’s not known if any students were victims.
JSO said three people were shot in a car, and two of those people flagged down a responding officer just after midnight and led them to the car where the third was still sitting.
JSO said all the victims were men between 17 and 20 years old, but didn’t confirm the age of the dead victim.
This is a developing story and will be updated as we learn more.
