Jacksonville, Fl. — One person is in custody and police are searching for other suspects after a police chase in Moncrief on Monday night.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office says a Sergeant was working off-duty at the Cleveland Arms Apartments conducting a traffic stop and he observed a hit and run crash and a reckless driver.
The Sergeant attempted a traffic stop, but the driver did not stop which started the police chase.
The suspect vehicle crashed a second time along West 26th Street. Police believe after the crash, several people got out and ran.
Police are still working on the investigation and is asking anyone with information to come forward or call Crime Stoppers.
