Police seek tips following Mandarin shooting death

Jacksonville, FL — Jacksonville Police are asking for tips following the shooting death of a man at the Avesta Apartments on Hartley Road in Mandarin.

Officers were called early Sunday to a report of gun shots and found a man lying on the ground between buildings 10 and 11.  He had been shot multiple times and was pronounced dead.

The victim’s identity has not been released. Officers on scene said he was a Hispanic man between the ages of 20 and 40.
