Jacksonville, FL — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is investigating what events led up to a school bus crash into a business at Cesery Blvd. near Terry Parker Drive in the Arlington area. The bus has since been removed from the front of Wally’s Gyro’s and Subs and now clean up begins.
An Action News Jax viewer provided photos of the bus as it was nearly completely in the front of the building.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office says there were no children on the bus at the time. The bus driver was taken to the hospital, and the extent of the damage to the building.
One witness says she could see the whole building shake when the bus was removed from the front of the building.
“I got worried cause the windows, all the windows of the whole building, had started shaking.” says Darilyn Cummings.
The owner of Wally’s says they will be able to open they just won’t be able to serve guests in their dining area.
