ATLANTIC BEACH, Fla. — Authorities from multiple agencies have launched a search operation near Ahern St. in Atlantic Beach following reports of a missing swimmer Tuesday night.
The Atlantic Beach Police Department, in collaboration with Ocean Rescue, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO), the Neptune Beach Police Department (NBPD), and the Neptune Beach Ocean Rescue, are actively searching the area to locate the individual.
The missing swimmer has been identified as a male in his 20s, last seen in the water near Ahern St. or the Atlantic Access. The circumstances surrounding the disappearance remain unclear at this time, and it is unknown if any other individuals were with the swimmer during the incident.
