Jacksonville, FL — Months after the shooting death of a young mother at a Riverside gas station, a second person has been arrested for the theft of the victim’s car.
We first told you late New Year's Day that Sahara Barkley was shot at a BP gas station on Stockton Street.
Jacksonville Police said there was an altercation between Barkley and another woman, which led to the shooting. Tairrah McGriff turned herself in for a murder charge days later.
Late on Monday, a JSO spokesman confirmed a man has been arrested for the theft of Barkley's car prior to her death.
23-year-old Shawntez Edmondson is facing multiple charges including theft of a motor vehicle and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. But so far he has not been charged in connection with Barkley’s death.
