Second suspect arrested in teen’s murder

Deshawn Minor murder suspects Oneil Exantus (left) and David Robinson (right) have been arrested for the murder of 18-year-old Deshawn Minor.

Jacksonville, FL — A second suspect has been connected to the death of 18-year-old Deshawn Minor, which police now confirm was the result of a shooting.

WOKV first told you in November that Minor was found dead in the woods at Beachwood Park, off Beach and I-295 on the Southside. His death was ruled a homicide, but not many details were immediately available about the circumstances of the death.

Earlier this year, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office turned to the public for help tracking down a man who they later confirmed was a suspect in this murder. 18-year-old Oneil Exantus was ultimately found in Terre Haute, Indiana, where he is in custody and awaiting transport to Jacksonville.

Now, JSO says they have arrested a second suspect, 18-year-old David Robinson. Robinson was already in custody for an unrelated robbery case.

The circumstances of the murder itself and what motivated the suspects’ actions have still not been made clear, but JSO is now confirming that Minor suffered several gunshot wounds and was dumped in the woods. We’ve requested more arrest details from JSO and will update this story as those become available.
