Jacksonville FL — Now that the FDA and CDC have both given the green light for children as young as five years old to receive Pfizer’s low dose COVID-19 vaccine, several stores and pharmacies will start to offer the vaccine beginning this weekend.
Southeastern Grocers, the parent company for Winn-Dixie and Harvey’s Supermarkets says it will start offering the shots for children between the ages of five and 11 at select stores beginning this Saturday. We’re told making an appointment is preferred, but walk-ups ups are based on availability.

Walgreens says it will start offering the vaccines for the 5-11 age range starting on Saturday too at select locations. Appointments are encouraged and a parent or guardian must be present during the process.

CVS says it will start offering vaccines beginning Sunday, and similar to Walgreens, making an appointment is encouraged and a parent or guardian will need to be present.

Wal-Mart says it will start offering the vaccines later this week but has not yet provided a specific date. The store says the shots will be available at 5,100 stores nationwide as supplies last.
