Jacksonville, FL — UPDATE: JSO says Shallers has been found in South Florida. He was on the side of the road and confused, but he is safe.

A Florida Silver Alert has been issued for an elderly man with dementia, who was last seen in Jacksonville.
Alvin Shallers was last seen on Salisbury Road on the Southside on Monday. JSO says he was traveling from Massachusetts to Pinellas County, FL, when he became lost and confused. He was contacted by officers in Jacksonville and was medically evaluated and released. JSO says he has not been seen or heard from since.
He’s described as a white man who’s 6’, 150 lbs, with salt-and pepper-hair and blue eyes. JSO lists his age at 79-years-old, although the Silver Alert poster from FDLE says he’s 78.
He may be traveling in a 2018 red Ford Escape with Massachusetts tag 9VW448. JSO says the vehicle may have been seen in the Tampa Bay area.
