JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A son and father were arrested Thursday in connections to a deadly shooting that occurred January 15.

Hakeem Robinson, 21, is being charged with murder in the second degree and his father, Abdul Robinson, 49, is being charged with accessory after the fact.

On Wednesday, January 15, 2020, an off duty officer observed a shooting outside of a business in a shopping complex on Merrill Road, near Townsend Blvd. The officer chased the suspects as they fled the area and the suspects crashed their vehicle.

That vehicle was apparently reported stolen back in 2019.

The suspects then fled on foot.

When JSO first reported the incident, they said the suspects broke into a home on Townsend Boulevard and held the homeowner hostage and changed clothes. The Homeowner was not injured. Home surveillance obtained by Action News Jax showed the suspects running through yards on Townsend Blvd.
