A Southside man who shot and killed his ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend, before trying to kill himself, has been charged with murder.
JSO tells us 35-year-old Jarod Miller was in a relationship with Lindsey Varner for nine years but the two had been broken up for over three years.
When Miller found out she was dating someone new, he showed up at the house, shot through the glass of the backdoor to get inside and shot Nicholas Hare in the head. Miller then shot himself, but has survived and was booked by cops from UF Health on September 16th.
Miller remains at the hospital under guard by police.
