JACKSONVILLE, Fla — The Jacksonville Zoo and Botanical Gardens announces the return of Spooktacular. The popular Halloween-style event will take place on October 10, 15-18, 22-25, 29-31.

According to the zoo, the 39th annual Spooktacular will feature trick-or-treat stations, a 400-foot light tunnel, Skeleton Disco, an optional scare zone, and interactive displays. Guests are encouraged to dress up in family-friendly costumes; however, masks are not permitted for guests over the age of 10, and props resembling weapons are not allowed.

On Sunday, October 11, guests can experience Spooktacular with adjusted lighting and sound for those with sensory sensitivities.

“Spooktacular is one of Jacksonville’s favorite fall traditions, and we are excited to welcome guests back for a refreshed experience that brings even more Halloween magic to the Zoo,” said Nikki Smith, the Chief Philanthropy and Marketing Officer at the Jacksonville Zoo and Botanical Gardens. “From glowing pathways and festive entertainment to trick-or-treating and family-friendly fun, this year’s event offers new ways for guests of all ages to celebrate the season together.”

The zoo encourages guests to purchase tickets in advance to save $5 per ticket. Advance tickets are $25 for members and $35 for non-members. Day-of tickets are $30 for members and $40 for non-members. Children ages 2 and under are free.
