Jacksonville, FL — It may be a bigger crime spree than initially thought.

Hours after the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office released a surveillance photo of a man, they believed to be a suspect in a recent church burglary, documents obtained by WOKV show the man MAY be responsible for other burglaries.

On Monday, JSO released a photo of the man-- who they say has now been identified-- saying he broke into the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Mandarin, early last Tuesday, January 23rd.

The incident report states during that burglary, a suspect pried open a door to the church and shattered glass windows, causing about $1,250 in damage. The suspect was then able to pry open a safe stealing $400. He also took an unknown amount of money from a register in the church's gift ship.

The incident report for that burglary says it may be connected to another burglary that also occurred in the same area, during the same time frame.

In that case, the Diocese of St. Augustine reported having their glass windows shattered, causing approximately $200 in damage. The office was also said to be ransacked, with paperwork thrown all over the floor, but nothing appeared to be missing.

The incident report for this break in, says it may be connected to yet ANOTHER case. WOKV has requested more details from JSO, but we have yet to hear back.
