Off-field troubles have once again set Jacksonville Jaguars suspended wide receiver Justin Blackmon back.
Blackmon was arrested for DUI in Carter County, Oklahoma early Saturday morning.
WOKV has obtained the police report which states Blackmon failed several field sobriety tests, including a preliminary breathilyzer test, but refused to take the state's breathilyzer test. He initially told the officer he had "just two drinks."
He failed the horizontal and vertical gaze nystagmus, nine step walk and one-leg stand. The passenger in the car, Reginald Thompson, was picked up by a sober driver without incident.
Drafted by the Jaguars in 2012, Blackmon was suspended indefinitely without pay in 2013 for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy.
Blackmon was last arrested on July 23 in the Oklahoma City suburb of Edmond for marijuana possession, after police noticed him driving recklessly.
Jaguars Head Coach Gus Bradley did not comment on Blackmon’s status in his weekly Monday press conference. We have reached out to the Jaguars for comment on this latest arrest and will update as more information comes in.
