Jacksonville, FL — When the TaxSlayer Bowl kicks off in Jacksonville on December 30th, 5,000 military personnel and their families will be in the stands, free of charge.

TaxSlayer- the title sponsor of the game- has made a donation to cover the tickets, which are good not only for the game, but an exclusive concert afterward at Daily’s Place, which is the new amphitheater next to the stadium. The “Honoring Our Heroes” program is designed to celebrate the community and military, while hopefully uniting installations across the Southeast.

“We wanted to do something special this year to honor the military community and give back to the heroes who sacrifice so much every day,” says TaxSlayer Chief Marketing Officer Chris Moloney.

The tickets are open to all active duty service members, retirees, and veterans with a military ID or VA Identification Card. You can request up to four tickets per military ID by registering through the TaxSlayer Bowl website.

The game will take place December 30th at noon. It will feature a team from the SEC against an opponent from the Big Ten, ACC, or Notre Dame.
