Three teens have now been charged for the murder of a 14-year-old at a Northwest Jacksonville community center.
Jacksonville Police say 17-year-old Michael Wiggins, 18-year-old William Brown and 19-year-old Le’Glenn Schofield didn’t approve of the relationship between one of their female friends and the victim, James Thomas. They were driving in the area of the Johnnie Walker Community Center on Division Street when they saw Thomas, and they decided to pull in to the parking lot where he was and start shooting.
Police say Brown and Schofield were both shooters, although Brown fired the fatal shot. They’re both charged with murder. Wiggins was driving the car and is charged with accessory after the fact.
Wiggins and Schofield were actually both caught about one month ago, and police say they have both confessed. Brown was only located and arrested yesterday.
