Jacksonville, FL — It had to be a surprise for families taking shelter in Jacksonville during and after Hurricane Irma.
Tim Tebow, former University of Florida quarterback and current outfielder for the St. Lucie Mets, stopped by Landmark Middle School, Monday evening.

Tebow tells our partner Action News Jax, he just wants people to know they're not alone.
"We're just here to make them feel loved, so they know that people care about them," says Tebow as he visited Landmark, alongside Florida Governor Rick Scott.
Tebow says it's a hard time for a lot of people in Jacksonville, but he hopes to make people feel loved and make the situation a little more bearable.
