A middle school student has been arrested for bringing a gun to school.
The Duval County Public School District confirms they got a student tip Thursday about a possible weapon on campus at the Bridge to Success at Matthew Gilbert Middle School. Administration immediately investigated in conjunction with School District Police.
A gun was discovered and a student was arrested for possession of a weapon on school grounds. DCPS says the student also faces discipline through the District, including possible expulsion.
Nobody was harmed.
