Jacksonville, FL — Two bad crashes have caused big problems for your Wednesday drive home- one on Jacksonville’s Southside, and one in Orange Park.
The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department says three people were taken to the hospital by two helicopters after a crash on Philips Highway, near I-295.
According to the crash report from Florida Highway Patrol, the driver of an SUV began to change lanes while a freight truck was making a turn. The SUV collided into the rear of the truck.
JFRD says two people had to be extracted from the vehicle. Thursday, the two men are listed in critical condition, the driver of the truck is listed in serious condition.

In Orange Park, a crash caused big backups on Blanding around College Drive.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the crash, but the Florida Highway Patrol is leading the investigation. Photos from the scene show a badly damaged white car, although the details of the crash itself are not yet clear.
