Jacksonville FL — Jacksonville Police have announced the arrests of two men in connection to an armed robbery and shooting at the High Score Arcade on Jacksonville's Westside that left a security guard dead. In an update to a story we brought you last Monday, Police say 30-year-old DeWayne Flowers Jr. and 23-year-old Anthony Ansley have both been charged with armed robbery and murder in the incident at the arcade on Edgewood Avenue North and Commonwealth Avenue. JSO says during the robbery, Ansley shot the security guard and took his gun. Ansley was found two days later and confessed to the shooting and robbery as he was being interviewed by police. Police say Flowers was ID'd by a distinguishing tattoo on his neck and was arrested this past Saturday.
The two have also been charged in connection to two other armed robberies on the Westside over the last month. Police say they have been charged in the armed robbery at a GameStop on Normandy Boulevard from August 8th and another armed robbery at the Normandy Arcade on Normandy from July 21st.
