Jacksonville, FL — Two suspects tied to the shooting death of a young father in Jacksonville Beach are now back in town after surrendering to police in Hawaii.
Jail records show Shaquille Walker and Jose Lebron were booked today in the Pre-Trial Detention Facility on charges of tampering with evidence. Walker is also charged with carrying a concealed firearm.
Neither man is charged directly in the late-June death of Leon Bennett, who was shot after what first started as an apparent fight outside the Pier Cantina restaurant.
Both suspects are due to have a first court appearance at 1pm today.
