UPDATE: The woman who was taken to Memorial Hospital and had critical injuries has just passed away.
One man has been arrested following a deadly double shooting in St. Augustine. 19-year-old Anfernee Wilson is charged with first degree murder.
A man was taken to Flagler Hospital following Tuesday evening’s shooting on Florida Club Blvd. where he later died. A woman was taken to Memorial Hospital where she was later died.
According to an incident report, witnesses saw a man shoot into the vehicle and then began to remove items, possibly money from inside. He then ran off toward a golf course.
Deputies later found the suspect in a retention pond in the area of Scheidel Way and North St. Johns Street. He was later arrested for the murder charge.
Throughout the night the sheriff’s office dive team searched multiple retention ponds for evidence. The Sheriff’s Office stopped short of saying what evidence they were searching for, but the incident report didn’t refer to a gun being recovered.
