Vehicle found torched leads police to grandmother's dead body on the Westside

A vehicle found torched led police to a grandmother's dead body on the Westside Wednesday night.

Bradla Cook, 61, was found dead inside her home on Harlow Boulevard about one mile from where police found her SUV torched.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office discovered the SUV in the Hyde Park neighborhood and tracked the license plate to Cook's home, not far from Blanding Boulevard.

Foul play is believed to be involved, but police have not given us any suspect information.

We spoke with neighbors who say Cook was recently divorced, lived in her home alone and suffered from multiple sclerosis.

JSO tells us they are continuing their investigation and following up on several leads.
