Jacksonville, FL — Several months after a US Customs and Border Protection Air and Marine Operations agent was ambushed and shot multiple times while leaving a grocery store in Oakleaf, we've learned he's made his return to flight.
CBP Florida announcing the news Tuesday on Twitter, as they shared photos and videos of Agent Drew Stokes making his return, with the first responder that helped save his life.
WOKV told you in September 2017, that Agent Stokes was shot multiple times in the back by an 18-year-old suspect. Investigators say the suspect, later identified as Thomas Jacob Lewis, then turned the gun on himself.
