The company that supplies the glass bottles for a popular St. Augustine winery is issuing a voluntary recall, because of the risk of small grains and bits of glass breaking off in to the contents of the bottle.

Seavin Incorporated says the precautionary recall comes after their bottle manufacturer tested a manufacturing defect in bottles used for some San Sebastian and Lakeridge wines. Seavin says the manufacturer found a “numerically insignificant” number of defective bottles, but they issued the recall in an abundance of caution.

The bottles involved are 750 milliliter glass bottles of select wines- San Sebastian's Vintners Red and Vintners White, and Lakeridge's Southern Red, Southern White, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Of those types of wine, only certain date codes are involved. You can check if your wine is affected, through Seavin's website.

If you have wine that’s affected by this recall, Seavin says you can be reimbursed or have your wine replaced.
