Jacksonville, Fl — As a local nor’easter loosens its grip, the first full day of fall will be just about perfect. Action News Jax Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh is tracking sunny skies and lower humidity with temperatures climbing from the 60′s into the low 80′s this afternoon.
Expect minor to moderate flooding along the St. Johns River at high tide. The coast will see minor flooding at high tide. Surf will remain elevated today as well has a high rip current risk at area beaches.
Thursday, the humidity will begin to creep back up in the afternoon as highs make it back into the upper 80′s. Scattered afternoon showers and storms return on Friday and into the weekend. Temperatures will be near 90 degrees again.
