Hail the size of baseballs did some damage in Bradford County.
And despite some warnings, the National Weather Service says there was no confirmed tornado.
Lake City got hit with some of the worst damage in the area.
"All you heard was wind whipping and the next thing you know, we heard the tree crackling out front, and everything just went black," said Lake City resident Mark Brummels.
Minutes later, Brummels front yard was covered in a massive tree.
According to initial damage reports, more than 200 trees fell in Columbia County with some of them directly affecting businesses, homes, and automobiles.
Saturday afternoon, the Columbia County Board of Commissioners unanimously passed a declaration of emergency.
Several city traffic lights were down for hours.
At least six families were displaced by damage from the storm. The American Red Cross and Catholic Charities were working to provide them assistance.
"We're lucky, lucky to be alive," Brummels said.
