Jacksonville, FL — If you like to do your Christmas shopping online, you'll want to make your purchases early this year.
It's the advice from WOKV's Consumer Warrior Clark Howard as he's warning about potential issues with shipping this holiday season.
"This is going to be a tough year for any website or delivery service to meet their promises on delivery," says Howard.
He says this is due to many delivery and warehouse companies falling short of their hiring goals this holiday season, according to staffing firms.
"I've already seen this with delivery delays and we're not even that far in to the Christmas delivery cycle," says Howard.
In order to make sure your orders show up in time for Christmas, he says you'll want to avoid waiting until the last minute.
"Go ahead and set up where things that you're going to have delivered to you, are ordered by no later than about December 17th, so that you can feel confident that they're going to be to you by Christmas day," says Howard.
