Jacksonville, Fl — Update:
As Jacksonville Police continue to investigate a deadly shooting in Riverside, an enhanced reward is being offered in information leading to an arrest of the suspect. JSO says First Coast Crime Stoppers is offering a $4,000 reward and the F.O.P. Foundation is also offering an additional $5,000, bringing the total to $9,000 in reward money.
In addition to the enhanced reward money, JSO is also releasing a new video of the person they believe is behind the deadly shooting on Myra Street near King Street. We have the new video below. Police say a woman was shot and killed after she approached the suspect who was trying to break into her car early Tuesday morning. At this time, police say the only description given of the suspect is that he’s a black man.

An investigation is underway following a fatal shooting in Riverside. According to police, a woman was shot while confronting a man who was attempting to break into her car on Myra Street around 5:40 am today.
Officers say the victim was on the phone with 911 during the confrontation. Investigators are looking into a string of car burglaries that may be related.
Witnesses described a black man with no shirt who was seen in the area this morning, and JSO is trying to locate that individual for questioning. Police didn’t describe him as a suspect.
“We’re canvassing the entire block within several blocks of this radius, trying to develop any additional leads or locate any evidence that might point us towards the suspect at this time“, said JSO Lt. Stronko.
