St. Johns County FL — On Thursday, St. Johns County sent out a notice that residents in the northern part of the county could have delays in getting their yard trash picked up. The county says the waste collection company, Republic Services, is facing staffing shortages both locally and regionally and has had difficulties collecting yard waste on time. The county says it’s working with the company to make sure your yard trash is getting picked up as soon as possible until normal services are back.
“St. Johns County appreciates your patience as we work with our provider to restore service to its regular schedule,” Greg Caldwell, Director of St. Johns County Public Works says.
At this time we’re told, there should be no impacts on your household garbage or recycling pickups.
For more information, you can call the county’s solid waste division at 904-827-6980.
