18-year-old killed in St. Augustine crash

Charges are pending following a crash in St. Augustine that left an 18-year-old dead. 

Florida Highway Patrol says the driver of a Porche Boxster crashed through a fence and metal sign around 1am at State Road 16 and Masters Drive. 

Harrison Wilker was in the passenger seat.  He died after being thrown out of the car.  The crash report says Wilker was not wearing a seat belt. 

The driver, 21-year-old Jesse Viva, had minor injuries. 

According to the crash report, alcohol is not believed to have been a factor in the crash.  An investigation is ongoing.
