The Florida Highway Patrol says 21-year-old Brandon Pratt of Middleburg died behind the wheel of a vehicle on Buckman Bridge during the morning rush on Tuesday.
Lt. Bill Leeper with the FHP said the driver was killed after he made an abrupt lane change, and lost control. "Witnesses said the vehicle was in the right center lane, then abruptly moved to the right," said Leeper. "It struck the concrete rail and the vehicle then overturned, the driver was not wearing a seat belt and he was ejected out."
No one else was hurt in the crash. The accident report says Pratt was not wearing a seatbelt.
