DALE COUNTY, Alabama — Two people were injured Tuesday morning in an “aircraft mishap” involving a UH-72 Lakota helicopter at Fort Rucker in Alabama, officials said.
Authorities said around 10:30 a.m. ET that they were responding to reports of the incident, which happened near Brown Stagefield Army Heliport.
Officials with the U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence and Fort Rucker said two people were injured. Both were transported to get medical treatment.
The extent of their injuries was not immediately known.
