According to the suit, obtained by NBC News, the victim is a Los Angeles-based professional choreographer and music artist identified only as “Jane Doe.”

The civil lawsuit, which seeks $20 million in damages from the Grammy-winning singer, states that Brown invited the woman to meet him at the Star Island, Florida, home of rapper Sean Combs in December 2020, Reuters reported.

Per the filing, the woman boarded a yacht after arriving at the home and later accepted a drink that Brown, 32, offered her while they discussed her career. The woman stated in the suit that she began to feel “disoriented” and “physically unstable” after a second drink, at which point she alleged that Brown dragged her to a bedroom, even though she was in and out of consciousness. The suit then states that Brown removed her swimsuit bottom and had sex with her without her consent, Reuters reported.

Although the suit states that the yacht was on Combs’ estate, it is unclear who owned the vessel, NBC News reported.

Following the alleged attack, the woman texted a friend, who helped her leave the South Florida estate, the suit stated.

The woman is suing for sexual battery and rape, false imprisonment, emotional distress and violation of the gender violence statute, NBC News reported.

According to Reuters, Brown addressed the lawsuit via Instagram, writing: “Whenever I’m releasing music or projects, ‘THEY’ try to pull some real (expletive).” A blue cap emoji, typically used as slang for lies, accompanies the post.

Brown previously pleaded guilty to assaulting singer Rihanna when the pair dated in 2009; was accused of raping a woman in a Paris hotel room 10 years later, but no charges were filed; and was charged with assault linked to a 2013 fight outside a Washington, D.C., hotel, Reuters reported.
